It is a common assumption that since nonprofits are all tax-exempt organizations, they do not have sales tax compliance requirements.
This is not necessarily true. There are a variety of circumstances in which nonprofits might be required to pay—or collect—sales tax. And even when they are exempt, providing proof of eligibility or granted exemption is still necessary in order to be compliant.
Join presenter Donny Shimamoto for this live session to learn about:
- How states treat nonprofits from a sales tax perspective
- Considerations for buying from and selling to a nonprofit
- Tax exemptions and strategies for compliance
